Deals damage. If used in tandem with Water Pledge or Grass Pledge by an ally on the same turn, the ally moving second will execute a combined move with 150 base power and trigger a field effect.

If combined with Water Pledge, the second ally uses Water Pledge and creates a rainbow on the user's side of the field for four turns. This rainbow doubles the chance of secondary effects occurring for moves used by that side, including effects like status infliction or stat drops. Flinching chance is only doubled once and does not stack with Serene Grace. Secret Power is unaffected.

If combined with Grass Pledge, the second ally uses Fire Pledge and creates a sea of fire on the target's side of the field for four turns. This sea of fire deals 1/8 of max HP in damage at the end of each turn to all non-Fire-type Pokémon on that side.

If one Pokémon uses a Pledge move but its partner is unable to act (due to paralysis, flinch etc.), no move is executed. Combined Pledge moves always has same-type attack bonus (STAB), regardless of which Pokémon executes the move or the type of the move executed.
