Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon – Alola Region Adventures
Pokémon Sun and Moon released worldwide in November 2016, introducing the tropical Alola region and Alolan forms of classic Pokémon.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, enhanced alternate versions, launched globally in November 2017 with a new storyline, additional Pokémon, and expanded features.
Generation VII introduced Z-Moves — powerful, once-per-battle attacks activated via a matching Z-Crystal.
Totem Pokémon, oversized and stronger variants encountered in Totem Battles, debuted in this generation.
🏝️ Welcome to Alola
The seventh generation of Pokémon games brought players to the Hawaii‑inspired Alola region in *Pokémon Sun*, *Moon*, *Ultra Sun*, and *Ultra Moon*. This tropical setting introduced a distinct cultural flavor, four main islands, and a host of new Pokémon species.
💥 Z-Moves
Z-Moves are cinematic, high‑power attacks usable once per battle when a Pokémon holds the correct Z‑Crystal and knows a move of the matching type. They ignore accuracy checks, can break through Protect‑type moves with reduced damage, and often turn the tide of battle. Exclusive Z‑Moves exist for certain species, such as Solgaleo’s *Searing Sunraze Smash* and Pikachu’s *Catastropika*.
🛡️ Totem Pokémon
Totem Pokémon are supersized, aura‑empowered versions of certain species, fought at the end of Island Trials instead of traditional Gyms. They can call ally Pokémon for assistance, forcing players to adapt their strategy to 2‑on‑1 scenarios.
📱 Rotom Dex
The Rotom‑possessed Pokédex acts as both a talking guide and a navigation tool, offering map functions, tips, and even mini‑games in Ultra versions via the Roto Loto feature.
🌴 Alolan Forms
Some familiar Pokémon adapted to Alola’s environment, changing their appearance, typing, and abilities — for example, Alolan Vulpix (Ice‑type) and Alolan Raichu (Electric/Psychic). These variants added fresh strategic options to team building.
Pokémon Generation VII Box Arts

Z-Moves let Trainers unleash spectacular, once-per-battle attacks, adding cinematic flair and strategic depth to combat.

The Alola region spans sunny beaches, lush jungles, volcanic peaks, and underwater caves — each with unique Pokémon to discover.
