Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!
Released worldwide on November 16, 2018, Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are faithful yet modernized remakes of Pokémon Yellow for the Nintendo Switch.
Introduce a catching mechanic inspired by Pokémon GO, using motion controls to throw Poké Balls instead of traditional wild Pokémon battles.
Choose Pikachu or Eevee as your partner Pokémon — riding on your shoulder or head — with customization options and exclusive partner moves.
Feature connectivity with Pokémon GO, enabling transfer of Generation I Pokémon, plus Meltan and Melmetal, from the mobile game.
🌟 A modern reimagining of Kanto
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! boldly reimagine the Kanto region, merging classic gameplay with modern innovations. Acting as a bridge between traditional Pokémon RPGs and the mobile hit Pokémon GO, they welcome newcomers to the series’ origins while offering fresh appeal for veteran Trainers.
📜 Complete Pokédex and new Mythical Pokémon
These games include all 151 original Pokémon, their Alolan Forms, and Mega Evolutions, while introducing Meltan and its evolution, Melmetal — the first Mythical Pokémon to debut in a spin‑off (Pokémon GO) before appearing in a main series title. Let's Go also delivers a vibrant 3D visual overhaul of Kanto, bringing towns, routes, and landmarks to life like never before.

🎯 Revamped catching system
One of the most significant changes is the catching mechanic. Wild Pokémon now appear visibly in the overworld, and catching them involves a timing‑based minigame using motion controls with Joy‑Con controllers or the Poké Ball Plus accessory. This makes filling the Pokédex and gaining experience more accessible and engaging for new players.
🤝 Partner Pokémon & co‑op play
Your chosen partner — Pikachu or Eevee — becomes central to your journey, offering exclusive interactions, customization, and special moves. For the first time in the main series, a second player can join locally with a Joy‑Con, making the adventure more social and family‑friendly.
📈 Pokémon GO features & post‑game challenges
Borrowing from Pokémon GO, Let's Go displays CP (Combat Power) and uses candy to strengthen Pokémon. While some mechanics are simplified, core elements like Trainer battles, Gym challenges, and the story of Pokémon Yellow remain. The post‑game adds Master Trainers — one for each species — challenging players to win one‑on‑one battles using only that Pokémon.
Battles in Let's Go retain the turn-based structure of classic Pokémon games, but with enhanced visuals that bring the action to life on the Nintendo Switch.

Explore the vibrant Kanto region with your partner Pokémon by your side. The ability to see Pokémon in the overworld adds a new dimension to exploration and hunting for specific species.
